Motivating through inspiration

“The principle goal of education is to create men who are capable of doing new things, not simply of repeating what other generations have done - men who are creative, inventive and discoverers” - Jean Piaget

"One test of the correctness of educational procedures is the happiness of the child." - Maria Montessori

"You make 'em, I amuse 'em." - Dr. Seuss

  2. I like the Piaget quote. I agree education should be a move forward. There is another quote, I am not sure of the Arthur, "If you keep doing things the same way, you are sure to get the same results". In a nation where everything is not perfect, apparently we need someone to come with a new approach, a new way of thinking. Who knows maybe one of us will have that someone in our classroom. The someone being the one to change the world.

  3. Hi Rose,
These are some nice quotes that you chose and I have read them all expect the one by Nelson Mandela, it was inspirational. Piaget and Montessori are two of my favorites. There views on early childhood always seem to be similar to the behaviors of the children of today as if the two of them were here today observing children. I chose to write two quotes by Maria Montessori and if you have a chance I would be honored if you took the time to read them.
